EA recently released a new trailer for a brand new video game based in the Star Wars Universe. The game will be titled, “Star Wars: Squadrons,” and it will focus on flight combat. Not much else is known about the title except that it seems to be focus on a team of five pilots on both the side of the Empire and the New Republic. Star Wars: Squadrons will be released on October 2, 2020, however it is unknown what systems the game will be released for.
Personally it is hard to say exactly how I feel about this game since they did not show any actual game footage since this was all cinematics. Overall it does look good, but that obviously does not account for the game will have good gameplay. At this moment in time it is hard to say so I hope we will see more details soon.
EDIT: EA released more details about the game on the game’s official website. The game will feature a 5 vs 5 fleet combat and the game will also include a single player campaign. The game will be released on Playstation 4 (VR Compatible) and PC with cross-play support. More details about the game will be shown during the EA Play Live event on June 18 at 4 PM PDT / 7 PM EST.
