Netflix Japan Announces Yu Yu Hakusho Live-Action Adaptation

Today, Netflix announced that a live-action adaptation of Yoshihiro Togashi’s manga, Yu Yu Hakusho is in production. However, this live-action adaptation is being produced through its Japanese branch. Currently, the staff includes Netflix’s contents acquisition director Kazutaka Sakamoto as executive producer, and Akira Morii as producer. Yu Yu Hakusho 25th Anniversary Special Episodes Advance Screening

Reported back in May, the fourth Yu Yu Hakusho Blu-Ray box set will feature two 25th anniversary special episodes, “TWO SHOTS” and “Noruka Soruka” (All or Nothing). The box set is set to released on October 26, 2018, but 20 days before the release, the two episodes will receive an advance screening.   The advance screening for the two special episodes will be held on October 6th at Anime Film Festival Tokyo 2018. New Yu Yu Hakusho OVA Details Revealed

The recent issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has revealed some new details about the upcoming OVA for the Yu Yu Hakusho anime series. The OVA will be an adaption of the “Two Shot” bonus chapter that was featured in the seventh volume of the manga. The OVA will also feature the events of the “All or Nothing,” chapter of the manga. The “Two Shot” chapter features the story of how Kurama and Hiei first met.
