Jon Cryer Cast as Lex Luthor in CW’s ‘Supergirl’

Variety has reported that Jon Cryer has been cast as the role of Lex Luthor in CW’s Supergirl. For those who are not aware Lex Luthor was mentioned quite a bit on the show, however the character himself had not made an appearance up to this point. The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Tyler Hoechlin will return to reprise his role as Superman in the upcoming CW Arrowverse crossover. Deadline has reported that a new TV show based on the Arrowverse is in development based on Kate Kane aka Batwoman. Seeing as the character is already set to appear in the annual Arrowverse crossover, which will premiere this December it is not a surprise to see the character receive a potential spin-off series.
