Attack on Titan Season 3 Toonami Premiere Date Announced

The official Toonami Facebook page has updated with the announcement that the third season of Attack on Titan will premiere on the block on August 18.  As reported previously, the world premiere for the season was screened by Funimation Entertainment in North America and Canadian theaters earlier this month. FUNimation Entertainment has announced that the Attack on Titan Season 2 recap film will be screened as apart of a two night event at North American & Canadian theaters.  The film will also be accompanied by the worldwide premiere of the first episode of the third season of series just before it airs in Japanese television on July 22. Funimation Acquires Attack on Titan Season 3 & Japanese Premiere Date Announced

On Friday, Pony Canyon began streaming an all-new trailer for the upcoming season of Attack on Titan. This new trailer for the third season revealed its Japanese premiere is July 22 at 12:45 a.m. on NHK. Short afterwards, Funimation Entertainment officially announced they acquired the rights to distribute and dub the season.
