Sonic the Hedgehog Live-Action Film Pushed to 2020

Following the fan backlash towards the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog live-action film due to its animation of the titular character, Paramount Pictures expressed to fans they would be overhauling the design. Paramount’s intent was to drastically change Sonic to look more video game accurate by the time of its November release date. Deadline has reported that a movie based on Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is currently being produced by Nickelodeon Studios and is set to release on Netflix. The project was announced during the recent first-quarter earnings call between Viacom and the Wall Street analysts. Paramount Moves Sonic the Hedgehog Film’s Premiere Date

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Paramount Pictures has recently announced that the Sonic the Hedgehog film’s premiere date has been moved up one week. The film originally was set to premiere on November 15, 2019, however the film will now premiere in theaters on November 8, 2019. Variety has reported that Ben Schwartz will be voicing Sonic the Hedgehog in the upcoming live-action film adaptation of the franchise. The show is titled “Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and I am loving the art style and the new direction this series is going with the turtles.
