Live-Action Bleach Film Encore Screening Announced

The Japan Society website has updated with the announcement that the live-action film adaptation for the Bleach franchise will be receiving an encore screening at the Japan Cuts: Festival of New Japanese Film. The film’s first screening is set for 7:45 P.M., which is currently sold out. The second screening will be set at 11:00 P.M. on the same day. The event will be co-presented by Anime NYC and Japan Cuts. Japan has updated their official Youtube channel with a new trailer for the live-action film adaptation of the Bleach franchise.  The latest trailer features the film’s theme song titled, “Mosquito Bite,” which is performed by ALEXANDROS. The trailer also features some battle scenes involving Ichigo Kurosaki (Sōta Fukushi), Renji Abarai (Taichi Saotome), and Byakuya Kuchiki (MIYAVI). For those who are unaware, the film is based on Tite Kubo’s manga of the same name. It was recently revealed in the recent issue of the Shonen Jump magazine has revealed some new details about the live-action film adaptation of Tite Kubo’s Bleach manga series. First, it has been revealed that Hana Sugisaki will be portraying Rukia Kuchiki in the film.  The other major detail that the magazine revealed was the release date for the film. Today (JST), the 73rd volume of Tite Kubo’s long-running Bleach manga revealed the series will concluding in the next volume, which will be sold in fall. Following the reveal Shonen Jump confirmed that the announcement was true. The series began in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2001, whereas its final arc began back in February 2012.
