The official Star Wars Youtube channel has updated with a new trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi. The latest trailer looks deeper in the series’ setting. Some highlights include some more scenes featuring the Inquisitors as well as featuring some scenes of some bounty hunter fights. Obi-Wan Kenobi Series Premiere Date Changed

The official Star Wars twitter page updated earlier today with an announcement that the Obi-Wan Kenobi series premiere will be moved to Friday, May 27 instead of the intended Wednesday, May 25 premiere date. Additionally, it has been confirmed that two episodes of the series will premiere on Disney+ with the series now fully moving to Fridays instead of the usual Wednesday premieres. Today, we finally have the release date for the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series which is May 25th, 2022. This release date lands on the same date that Star Wars: A New Hope originally released in theaters. Temuera Morrison Cast as Boba Fett in Second Season of The Mandalorian

Taika Waititi to Direct & Co-write Theatrical Star Wars Film

The official Star Wars website has updated with an announcement that Taika Waititi will be directing and co-writing a theatrical Star Wars film. Additionally, Krysty Wilson-Cairns will be joining him on the project as a screenplay writer for the film as well. Variety has reported that a third season of The Mandalorian is currently in production. While the second season is set for an October 2020 release it is great to see that the series will be receiving a third season. Joby Harold to Write Obi-Wan Series

Variety has reported that Joby Harold has been hired to write the Disney+ Obi-Wan series. Earlier last year it was reported that Hossein Amini would be the head writer for the series, although he has since left the project. Outside of Amini, it was reported that Ewan McGregor, Kathleen Kennedy, Tracey Seaward, John Swartz and Jason McGatlin were announced as producers on the project.
