Recently IGN revealed a trailer for a new video game based on the Ghostbusters brand. The game will be titled, “Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed,” and is a 4v1 asymmetrical multiplayer game. The is being developed by Illfonic, who is best known for developing the Friday the 13th and Predator: Hunting Grounds games. The trailer features a look at the setting of the game and also reveals that Ernie Hudson (Winston Zeddoremore) and Dan Aykroyd (Ray Stanz) will be reprising their roles for the game. Hasbro are now the new owners of the Ghostbusters franchise master toy license and much like their other properties, the company has introduced a line for adult collectors. Named the “Plasma Series“, the line contains 6-inch action figures as well as prop replicas. Recently Hasbropulse presented a New York Toy Fair 2020 preview event that featured a look at several new products across their various brands. Some brands include Power Rangers, Transformers, G.I. Hasbro Gains “Ghostbusters” Master Toy License in 2020

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Hasbro will be gaining the master toy license to the Ghostbusters franchise in 2020.  Under the deal, Hasbro will be releasing products based on the property including Sony’s new Ghostbusters film that is set for release next summer. This isn’t much of a surprise due to Hasbro already releasing Ectotron based on the character from the currently running Transformers/Ghostbusters comic miniseries as well as Transformers x Ghostbusters MP-10G. Paul Rudd In Talks to Join Ghostbusters 2020 Cast

Variety has reported that Paul Rudd is in final negotiations to join the cast of the 2020 Ghostbusters film. Paul Rudd is set to portray a teacher in the film. Hasbro has recently unveiled a new Ecto-1 Ectotron Transformer figure. As the name suggests the figure is a Transforming figure based on the Ecto-1, which is the main vehicle used by the Ghostbusters. The figure will include a weapon that seems to be replicating the Ghostbuster’s Proton Pack and Slimer.
