J.J. Abrams To Write & Direct Star Wars: Episode IX

The official Star Wars website has updated with the announcement that J.J. Abrams will return and direct Star Wars: Episode IX.  For those who are unaware the original director for the film, Colin Trevorrow, left directorial duties earlier last week.  J.J. Abrams will not only direct the film, but will also work as a co-writer with the help of Chris Terrio.  The film is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Abrams, Bad Robot, and Lucasfilm. Star Wars Episode IX & Next Indiana Jones Sequel Premiere Dates Announced

The official Star Wars website has updated with the announcement of premiere dates for Star Wars Episode XI and the next Indiana Jones.    Star Wars Episode XI will premiere on May 24, 2019.  The film will be directed by Colin Trvorrow and will be the final film in the new Star Wars trilogy. The fifth chapter of the Indiana Jones films will premiere on July 10, 2020.  The film will be once again directed by Steven Spielberg and will feature Harrison Ford once again as Indiana Jones. Star Wars Episode VIII Title Revealed

Star Trek Beyond Home Release Details Revealed

IGN has recently reported about the home release details for Star Trek Beyond.  The film will be released on DVD, Blu-Ray, 4K Ultra HD and in Bly-ray 3D Combo Packs on November 1, 2016.  The film will also release on Digital HD on October 4.    The bonus features that will be included in the 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray 3D, and Blu-ray Combo packs are: Featurettes from film team and cast Gag Reel Delete Scenes Tributes to Leonard Nimoy and Anton Yelchin Delby Atmos Soundtrack  The film will also be released in a Star Trek Trilogy Blu-ray Collection, which will include Star Trek…

Entertainment Weekly has recently announced that they will be a special 3D Collector’s Edition for Star Wars Episode VII : The Force Awakens.  The “3D Collector’s Edition” will be a four disc set that includes more bonus features not included with the previous releases. Entertainment Weekly has recently continued with their Rogue One: A Star Wars Story segment with the announcement that Darth Vader will be appearing in Star Wars: Rogue One. What is also exciting about this reveal is that James Earl Jones will be reprising his role for the menacing Sith Lord.
