[Tokyo Comic Con] AKARI: Tokusatsu Re-Imagined Campaign Announced

Recently at Tokyo Comic Con, former Tsuburaya Productions director and producer Takeshi Yagi announced a new tokusatsu project. Titled, AKARI, the production is a proof-of-concept that is in association with the online video service, Narō. For those unaware, Narō is an on-demand video service that creates programs on Japanese culture, and veterans from its professions. Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS Maxi Boost ON Open Beta Announced

Bandai Namco Entertainment released a new trailer today for the upcoming PS4 version of Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS Maxi Boost ON revealing the Open Access Beta for the game. The beta will be available to all Playstation 4 players and will run every Friday to Saturday beginning June 19, 2020 and running through July 25, 2020. The game is scheduled to release on July 30, 2020 worldwide as a Playstation 4 exclusive. Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway Teaser Trailer Released

Last year, during the Japanese Theatrical screenings of Mobile Suit Gundam NT, Gundam fans were treated to a short teaser for the next Universal Century movie, Hathaway’s Flash. Name of Japan’s Newest Era Confirmed

Recently a conference was held in Japan by the Japanese government to announce the new era for the country. The new era is tentatively known as the “Reiwa Era,” which translates to Harmonic Peace. The name is derived from the Manyoshu, a collection of historic Japanese poems. Now, Reiwa Era will effective begin on May 1st under Japan’s new emperor, Emperor Naruhito. Gundam The Origin – Eve of the Red Comet Premiere Date & Details Announced

Originally announced during the Mobile Suit Gundam’s 40th Anniversary Project launch event on November 21, 2018, the TV broadcast version of Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin finally has details on its premiere. The 6-part OVA will be recompiled into a 13 episode broadcast version for television. This is similar to Mobile Suit Gundam UC re:0096 which was a 22 episode recompilation of the 7-part OVA series.   The recompilation will be titled Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin – Eve of the Red Comet in order to differentiate the TV version from the OVA. New Gundam Breaker Third Game Trailer Streamed

Bandai Namco Entertainment has recently updated their official Youtube channel with a new trailer for New Gundam Breaker. The latest trailer features Kamille, Fa, Emma, and Reccoa from Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam.  The trailer also features the game’s theme song, “Snatchaway,” performed by SKY-HI. https://youtu.be/eiQG6w4Zwgk New Gundam Breaker is set to release worldwide for the Playstation 4 and Steam on June 22. The game will first launch in Japan on June 21 in Japan.
