Recently, Netflix released a trailer for the upcoming anime series “GAMERA -Rebirth-.” For those unaware, GAMERA -Rebirth- is the first animated series in the Gamera franchise, with previous adaptations being live-action films. It has been revealed that manga artist, Uroaki Sabishi, is adapting Yoshiyuki Tomino’s Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash novels into a manga. This announcement was provided by the April issue of Kadokawa’s Gundam Ace magazine which released on Wednesday in Japan. Live-Action Hurricane Polymar Film Announced

It has recently been announced that Hurricane Polymar will be getting a live-action adaptation. The series is not the only production under Tatasunoko Productions to receive the live-action treatment since both Gatchaman and Cassern  were also adapted into live-action films. The film will be directed by long time Tokusatsu director, Koichi Sakamoto, and Shinuke Onishi (Ultraman Tiga, Dyna, Gaia Cosmos) will be working on the screenplay. Sword Art Online Live-Action Series Announced

It was recently announced by Skydance, an American independent production company, that they have acquired the global rights to produce a live-action series based on the popular Sword Art Online (SAO) franchise. The confirmed production team consists of Laeta Kalogridis who will serve as the script writer and executive producer.   She will be helped by David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross.  Skydance Interactive is also producing the Sword Art Online VR experience.
