Mill Creek Entertainment Acquired the ULTRA Series Library for Physical & Digital North American Distribution

Today, Mill Creek Entertainment in cooperation with Indigo Entertainment announced they have acquired the license for Tsuburaya Productions’ Ultra series library for North American distribution. Indigo, on the behalf of Tsuburaya, developed this deal to assist in bringing back the Ultra series to North America. Toei is stepping back into the kaiju-genre with their upcoming tokusatsu series, Kaiju Ward Gallas, an all-new tokusatsu drama with an original monster. The series stars Kamen Rider Wizard’s Makoto Okunaka (Koyomi) as Erica, a character who is connected the violent bird-like monster, Gallas. The series also features other Toei tokusatsu series alumni such as Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger’s Nao Nagasawa (Hurricane Blue) and Kohei Yamamoto (Hurricane Yellow). Today at San Diego Comic Con, Warner Bros held a panel in Hall-H for their upcoming films. Among the movies discussed and previewed at the panel is the sequel to the 2014 Godzilla film, Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Originally this film was intended to release in 2018, but it was pushed to 2019 when Gareth Edwards left as director.
