The official Star Wars website has updated with the announcement that the Disney+ “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series has currently started production. According to the news, the series will begin shooting starting this April. Additionally, the website revealed several cast members for the series. Temuera Morrison Cast as Boba Fett in Second Season of The Mandalorian

Taika Waititi to Direct & Co-write Theatrical Star Wars Film

The official Star Wars website has updated with an announcement that Taika Waititi will be directing and co-writing a theatrical Star Wars film. Additionally, Krysty Wilson-Cairns will be joining him on the project as a screenplay writer for the film as well. Variety has reported that a third season of The Mandalorian is currently in production. While the second season is set for an October 2020 release it is great to see that the series will be receiving a third season. Joby Harold to Write Obi-Wan Series

Variety has reported that Joby Harold has been hired to write the Disney+ Obi-Wan series. Earlier last year it was reported that Hossein Amini would be the head writer for the series, although he has since left the project. Outside of Amini, it was reported that Ewan McGregor, Kathleen Kennedy, Tracey Seaward, John Swartz and Jason McGatlin were announced as producers on the project. Additionally, production for the project was initially set to start in August 2020, however it is now set to start production in January 2021. No other details are confirmed at this time…

Vanity Fair recently revealed a first look at Ming-Na Wen’s character in The Mandalorian. She will be portraying Fennec Shard, who is an assassin that crosses paths with The Mandalorian. According to Vanity Fair the character will be making her debut appearance midway into the first season.
