Bandai Namco Acquires Bluefin; Bandai Namco Collectibles is Born

Interesting news has broke online regarding Bluefin Corp, otherwise referred to as Bluefin Tamashii, the Japanese toy distributor. On Wednesday, Bandai Namco Holdings announced that they acquired an 80% controlling stake in Nippon Imports, LLC, the company that owns and operates Bluefin. Now, with this transaction Bandai Namco will establish a new subsidiary, Bandai Namco Collectibles in October that will continue operations under Bluefin. New York Comic Con to Host Cowboy Bebop Writer & Designers

Yesterday, Funimation Entertainment announced that it will be bringing screenwriter Keiko Nobumoto, character designer Toshihiro Kawamoto, and mechanical designer Kimitoshi Yamane to New York Comic Con. They will be attending as guests to appear at the Cowboy Bebop 20th Anniversary retrospective panel. In addition, Funimation is hosting a contest to win a dinner with all three staff members.
