Sonic the Hedgehog Live-Action Film Set For 2019 Release Date

The Hollywood Reporter has recently reported that Paramount’s live-action film adaptation of the Sonic the Hedgehog video game franchise is currently set for a November, 15, 2019 release date.   As reported earlier, the production team consists of: Jeff Fowler – Director Tim Miller, Toby Ascher – Executive Producers Neal H. Micronauts Animated Series Announced

Hasbro Studios has announced that they are currently producing a new animated series based on the Micronauts. For those who are unaware, the Micronauts was a series of toys released by Mego in 1976.  The toyline was based on the Microman toyline that was created by Takara in 1974.  An animated series was planned to be produced by the joint team of AGE, Annex Entertainment, Gribouille and Kaleidoscope Media Group in 1998, however it was shortly cancelled. Paramount to Produce Sonic the Hedgehog Film

The Hollywood Reporter has recently reported that the Sonic the Hedgehog film will now be produced by Paramount Pictures.  The live-action CGI hybrid film was originally going to be produced by Sony Entertainment, however the film has now changed studios. The main production team who was previously working on the project at Sony Entertainment will continue to work on their duties at Paramount Pictures.
