NYCC 2017: Viz Media Licenses 2 Pokémon Sun & Moon Manga

Viz Media has announced at New York Comic Con 2017 that they have licensed two new Pokémon Sun & Moon Manga titles. The first manga series is the Pokémon Sun & Moon (Pocket Monsters Special Sun Moon) manga series by Hidenori Kusaka and Satoshi Yamamoto.  The second title is Pokémon Horizon: Sun & Moon by Tenya Yabuno.  They have also licensed the Pompom Pokémon craft book. The Pokémon Adventures (Pocket Monsters: Special) manga series’ Sun/Moon arc debuted in the CoroCoro Ichiban! magazine on November 21, 2016. Misty & Brock Return For Pokémon Sun & Moon Anime

Recently a scan from the recent Televi-kun magazine has surfaced online, which reveals details about the Pokémon Sun & Moon Anime.  It has been revealed that Ash & Pikachu will be returning to Kanto during the episodes that will premiere on September 14 and September 21.  It has also been revealed that Misty and Brock will be making an appearance as well. Brock will use Mega Steelix while Misty will use Mega Gyarados.  Long time fans should be excited to see their re-appearance especially since both characters have long since been absent from the anime series.   Source: Serebii

The official Pokémon Youtube channel has recently updated with a new trailer for the upcoming Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel film and the Pokémon Sun & Moon anime season. Pokémon Sun & Moon Anime Season Announced

Serebii has reported the details that was revealed in the recent Corocoro magazine  for the upcoming season for the Pokémon anime series.  In the new season Ash will be heading to the Alola region where he will be receiving the Z-Ring.  He will eventually meet the Melemele Island Guardian, Tapu Koko. Throughout the season Ash will not be doing the typical journey to collect badges, but instead will be focusing on graduating a special Pokémon related school.   The season will premiere in Japan this November on TV Tokyo and it’s affiliates.
