Female-Led Spinoff “Arrow” Spinoff Series in Production

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that a new spinoff series based on several key female characters featured on Arrow is currently in production. The series is set to feature Mia Smoak/Green Arrow (Kathernine McNamara), Laurel Lance (Kattie Cassidy), and Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy). The series will first start as a “backdoor pilot” in the final season of Arrow, which will premiere on October 15. Yesterday, Deadline reported that Ernie Hudson will be guest starring on Arrow as a “Four Star General of the DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency).” According  to the character description provided by Deadline, he will be playing someone in Diggle’s past who will need to work with Team Arrow in hindsight of Diggle’s unresolved conflicts with him.
