NYCC 2017: Viz Media Licenses 2 Pokémon Sun & Moon Manga

Viz Media has announced at New York Comic Con 2017 that they have licensed two new Pokémon Sun & Moon Manga titles. The first manga series is the Pokémon Sun & Moon (Pocket Monsters Special Sun Moon) manga series by Hidenori Kusaka and Satoshi Yamamoto.  The second title is Pokémon Horizon: Sun & Moon by Tenya Yabuno.  They have also licensed the Pompom Pokémon craft book. The Pokémon Adventures (Pocket Monsters: Special) manga series’ Sun/Moon arc debuted in the CoroCoro Ichiban! magazine on November 21, 2016. Viz Media Announces New Pokémon Manga Releases

Viz Media has recently announced that they will be releasing more Pokémon manga in near future.  Starting in September, Viz will be releasing the first volume of the Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire series on September 1 priced at  $4.99 U.S. ( $5.99 CAN). Continuing on,  the company will also release the Pokémon Pocket Comics Box Set that will includes a volume based on the Pokémon species in Pokémon Black & White and a volume based on the Legendary Pokémon.  The set will also include four panel comic strips by Santa Haruzake as well as some trivia.   The set will be released in October priced…

Pokémon Adventures Creators to be at SDCC

Viz Media recently announced that they will be bringing over the Author and Second Artist for the popular manga Pokémon Adventures (known as Pokémon Special in Japan) for the upcoming San Diego Comic Con 2016. This will be author, Hidenori Kusaka and artists, Satoshi Yamamoto’s first professional visit to North America. Hidenori and Satoshi will be there during the weekend for Autograph sessions, as well as hosting a Pokémon Adventures Panel, alongside the English and Japanese translator.
