Nintendo Switch Exclusive SNK 40th Anniversary Collection Announced

NIS America recently announced during SNK’s PAX East 2018 panel that they will be publishing the SNK 40th Anniversary Collection. The game will be developed by Digital Eclipse.  Each game will feature graphics up to 1080p, saving capabilities, optional cheats, and will also feature both the arcade/ console versions of some of the games. The game will launch exclusively on the Nintendo Switch this Fall. The game will also be released in two versions: a standard edition and the SNK 40th Anniversary Collection Limited Edition.  The limited edition version of the game will also include a special book and a soundtrack CD.…

Capcom has recently unveiled a new trailer featuring a look at a brand new DLC character for The King of Fighters XIV. The recent trailer features a look at Najd, who was created as the result of the character design contest that was held last year. The King of Fighters: Destiny – 2 More Seasons & Film Announced

The official iDRAGONS website has updated with an announcement that two more 24 episode seasons of The King of Fighters: Destiny animated series have been confirmed.  The two seasons will tie into a film that will serve as a finale to the series. The new seasons will be based on the stories featured in The King of Fighters ’94 – The King of Fighters ’97.  The seasons will mostly focus on the Orochi story arc. The first character DLC pack for The King of Fighters XIV is now available on the Playstation Store.   The DLC pack consists of: Rock Howard Ryuji Yamazaki Vanessa Whip The bundle is priced at $19.99, however it is currently on sale for $17.99 for PSN Plus members until April 12 at 11 A.M. The characters are also available individually priced at $5.99 each. The official Playstation Youtube channel has updated with a new character trailer for The King of Fighters XIV.  The latest trailer features a look at the latest DLC character, Rock Howard. Although the character first debuted in Garou: Mark of the Wolves, he also appeared in the older KOF title, The King of Fighters: Maximum Impact. The DLC characters will be available for purchase on April 5 with all players receiving a new stage and background music for free on the same day. The official Playstation Youtube channel has updated with a new trailer for the next DLC character in The King of Fighters XIV. The latest trailer features the return of Vanessa.  For those who are unaware, the character first debuted in The King of Fighters ’99 Evolution.  Her latest appearance was in The King of Fighters 2002 so it has been quite some time the character has appeared on the fighting roster.  No other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates. The King of Fighters: Destiny Animated Series Announced

SNK has announced that a new CG animated series based on the The King of Fighters franchise will premiere this Summer.  The 20 episode series  titled “, The King of Fighters Destiny,” will currently be produced as a Chinese exclusive series.  No much else is known about the series except that the special effects team that worked on Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV will help support the project.
