Hasbro Gains “Ghostbusters” Master Toy License in 2020

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Hasbro will be gaining the master toy license to the Ghostbusters franchise in 2020.  Under the deal, Hasbro will be releasing products based on the property including Sony’s new Ghostbusters film that is set for release next summer. This isn’t much of a surprise due to Hasbro already releasing Ectotron based on the character from the currently running Transformers/Ghostbusters comic miniseries as well as Transformers x Ghostbusters MP-10G. Deadline has reported that the upcoming live-action Masters of the Universe film is set to premiere in theaters on March 5, 2021. As reported in 2017 the film was initially slated for a December 18, 2019 release date, however expectantly the film has been delayed.
