Earlier today, Deadline reported that Kate Mulgrew will be reprising her role as Captain Janeway on Nickelodeon’s Star Trek: Prodigy. Longtime Star Trek fans will recognize Kate Mulgrew portrayed the iconic role of Captain Janeway on Star Trek: Voyager, which aired in January 1995 through May 2001. Star Trek Nickelodeon Animated Series Title Revealed

Earlier in 2019, it was reported that an animated series based on the Star Trek franchise was in the works at Nickelodeon,  however no other details were confirmed about the project outside of the production team until today. Deadline has reported that the series will be titled, “Star Trek: Prodigy,” and is set to premiere on Nickelodeon in 2021. The news was first revealed during today’s Star Trek Universe mega-panel during the virtual Comic-Con@Home event.
