Jon Favreau Announced As Execute Producer & Writer For Live-Action Star Wars Series

The official Star Wars website has updated with an announcement that Jon Favreau has been confirmed as the executive producer and writer for a live-action Star Wars series that will be released exclusively on Disney’s upcoming streaming service. Those who are unaware, Jon Favreau, has worked on several Marvel films that are apart of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the past. He has also worked on some Star Wars productions such as Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story. Star Wars Live-Action Series Announced

Polygon has recently reported that a live-action series based on the Star Wars franchise is currently in the works. While there isn’t much information revealed about the series at this time it has been confirmed that it will be exclusive to the upcoming Disney streaming service. The series will premiere on the service in 2019 along with other shows based on a Marvel property, Monster’s Inc, and one based on the High School Musical franchise.
