Collider has recently revealed new details about the team that will be featured in The Suicide Squad sequel. For those who are not aware, it was reported earlier that Idris Elba will be portraying Floyd Lawton aka Deadshot in the upcoming sequel. Idris Elba to Portray Deadshot in ‘Suicide Squad’ Sequel

Variety has reported that Idris Elba will be replacing Will Smith as Floyd Lawton aka Deadshot in the upcoming “Suicide Squad” sequel. According to Variety, Will Smith left the project due to scheduling conflicts. The production of the film is set to start this September.  As reported earlier it was revealed that James Gun will be writing the sequel to the 2016 Suicide Squad film.   No other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates.   This is pretty interesting to hear since it would have been pretty easy to retire Deadshot for the upcoming sequel.…

James Gunn to Write Suicide Squad Sequel

Several news outlets have reported that Warner Bros. has hired James Gunn to be one of the main script writers for the next Suicide Squad film. It has also been reported that Warner Bros. will also potentially add James Gunn on as a director of the project, however nothing has been concretely stated at this time. Previously Gavin O’ Conner was set as the director for the sequel, however due to scheduling complications, he had to step away from the project. IGN has updated their updated their official Youtube channel with an exclusive trailer for the next DC animated film titled, “Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay.”  The latest trailer features a look at the Task Force X fighting off against Vandal Savage and other villains. The Hollywood Reporter has recently revealed the voice cast for the upcoming DC animated film, “Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay.”  For those who haven’t been following the project, Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay will be the next animated DC film, which will be released after Batman: Gotham by Gaslight. Coming at you with some movie news today. We’ve learned that Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, known for producing Crazy, Stupid, Love are in final negotiations to write and direct a Harley/Joker film. Going by the information from The Hollywood Reporter, Jared Leto and Margot Robbie are going to reprise their roles as Joker and Harley Quinn.
