Today, Nintendo held a new Pokémon direct, which featured a look at some new details regarding their upcoming releases, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. First, the direct featured a look at the Galar region and the various locations throughout it. Nintendo recently held a new Pokémon direct, which revealed the eighth generation of the franchise. The presentation featured a look at some of the new Pokémon as well as revealing details about the new region. The next region will be known as the Galar Region. The new games will be titled, “Pokémon Sword,” and “Pokémon Shield.” The three new Pokémon starters include: Chip Pokémon: Grooky Rabbit Pokémon: Scorbunny Water lizard Pokémon: Sobble Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield are set to release for the Nintendo Switch worldwide in late 2019. Detective Pikachu Sequel in the Works

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that a sequel to the Detective Pikachu film is currently in the works. Oren Uziel has been hired to the work as the script writer of the film. Uziel is best known for working on 22 Jump Street and The Cloverfield Paradox. Some future projects he be working include, but not limited to the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog film, Men in Black: International, and a live-action film based on Supergirl. TOHO recently revealed details for the 2019 Pokémon film during their 2019 lineup presentation. The film will be titled, “Mewtwo’s Counterattack Evolution (Mew Two no Gyakushū Evolution) and it is set to premiere on July 12, 2019 in Japan. The film will be the 22nd overall film in the franchise.
