Today, we got the first official trailer for the next Monsterverse film, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The film is set to release next Spring on April 12, 2024, which continues Godzilla and Kong’s new partnership. Surprisingly, this trailer features many glimpses at Godzilla’s new form that is rumored to appear in the film. This past weekend, G-Fest was held for the first time since 2019, and it was hosted at a new venue. Recently, Toho Studios published an announcement on the Godzilla YouTube Channel regarding their upcoming Godzilla vs. Gigan 50th anniversary project. Titled, “Toho & Wakasa Announce Gigan Suit START UP Project!” the video is hosted by veteran kaiju suit designer, Shinichi Wakasa. Today, Tamashii Nations US announced that Bandai Japan will be releasing S.H.MonsterArts Mechagodzilla from Godzilla vs. Kong later this year. Now, fans originally expected that this figure would be announced during the upcoming Tamashii Features 2021 event. However, Tamashii Nations’ American branch surprised everyone with this reveal two weeks ahead of schedule.
