Hiyori Sakurada to Reprise Role in 2nd Live-Action Tokyo Ghoul Film

The official live-action Tokyo Ghoul website has updated with the announcement that Hiyori Sakurada will be reprising her role as Hinami Fueguchi in Tokyo Ghoul 2. The previously revealed cast members include: Masataka Kubota: Ken Kaneki Maika Yamamoto: Tōka Kirishima Shū Tsukiyama: Shota Matsuda Additionally, it was also revealed that Shunya Shiraishi will be returning to reprise his role as Nishiki Nishio. Kai Ogasawara will also be returning to play his role as Hideyoshi “Hide” Nagachika. Viz Media recently revealed the release date for the US theatrical premiere date for the Hunter X Hunter: The Last Mission film.  Viz Media will be screening the film at select theaters on January 30. The recent issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has revealed that the band ЯeaL will be performing the new ending theme song for the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime series. The ending theme song titled, “Tsuyogari Loser,” will premiere in January. The song will replace the current ending theme song titled, “Polaris,” which is performed by Hitorie. The new ending theme song will be available as a single on February 20 and an “anime size” version of the song will be available early as a digital release on January 7. 2nd Live-Action Tokyo Ghoul Film Details Announced

The official Tokyo Ghoul live-action film website has updated with some details for the upcoming film. The film currently titled, “Tokyo Ghoul 2,” will premiere in theaters in Japan in Summer 2019. Shochicku, the distributor for the film, also revealed an official movie still of the film. NYCC 2018: Viz Media Announces Boruto Anime Home Video Release

Viz Media announced that they will be releasing the Naruto: Boruto Next Generations anime series on home video during the Shonen Jump panel at New York Comic Con 2018. The series will be released on home video in Spring 2019. For those who are not aware, the Naruto: Boruto Next Generations is based on the spin-off manga series that features Naruto’s son, Boruto. The series originally premiered in Japan in April 2017. Funimation Entertainment Licenses Japanese Live-Action Death Note Films

Yesterday, Funimation Entertainment announced at Anime Weekend Atlanta that it licensed three of the four live-action Japanese Death Note films: Death Note, Death Note: The Last Name, and Death Note: Light Up the NEW World. Funimation will release the films on Blu-ray Disc, DVD, and Digital combo packs on January 22, 2019. The first two films which premiered in Japanese theaters in 2006 will be bundled together. SDCC 2018: Viz Media to Release Netflix Castlevania Series on Home Video

Viz Media announced at San Diego Comic Con 2018 that they have licensed the first season of the Netflix original Castlevania series. For those who are unaware, the Castlevania animated series is based on the video game franchise of the same name.
