Variety has reported that an anime show based on the Terminator franchise is in development for Netflix. Currently the series is still in early development so not many details have been revealed at this time. According to Variety, Skydance will be working alongside Netflix on the production of the series with the help of Production I.G. Mattson Tomlin has been hired to work as the showrunner and executive producer on the project.
For those who are not aware, The Terminator franchise debuted in 1984. The film received several sequels starting with its’ first sequel titled, “Terminator 2: Judgement Day,” which was released in 1991. The latest film in the franchise titled, “Terminator: Dark Fate,” premiered in theaters in 2019. The franchise revolves around the various Terminator models such as the T-800, who was portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
