TGS 2019: Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Trailer Streamed

Bandai Namco Entertainment America has updated their official Youtube channel with the Tokyo Game Show 2019 trailer for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. For those who are not aware, the game was first announced during the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour 2019. The game will be an action RPG based on the Dragon Ball franchise. The latest trailer reveals some new gameplay footage and reveals that the game’s story will continue in the Buu Arc, which is potentially the cut off point to the game’s main story unless it moves into the movie lore.

The trailer also reveals the release date and the pre-order bonuses for the game. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be released for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC ion January, 17, 2020.

Those who pre-order the game will also receive the following bonuses:

  • Sub-Quest: “A Competitive Party with Friends”
  • Early access to Bonya
  • 1 Cooking Item

A collect edition for the game will also be available, which includes:

  • Full Game
  • Exclusive Diorama Figure
  • Hardcover Artbook
  • Steelbook

I am actually kind of shocked to see that the game will go into the Buu saga. For as long as the game was promoted it seemed that Bandai Namco’s team was dead set to keep it only as far as the Cell Saga so it is great to see that the main DBZ story will be covered into the game. It does make me wonder if the movies will also be featured. Overall I am actually more excited for the game more now than ever so hopefully it will turn out to be a good experience.
