Thundercats and He-Man Crossover Comic Coming to DC Comics

What’s going on people? Happy Friday, I’m XBen3000 and I’m here to give you some comics news. DC Comics is bringing together Thundercats and He-Man for a crossover comic that is set to debut October 5, 2016. The series will be called HE-MAN/THUNDERCATS.

The creative team for this series will be Rob David and Lloyd Goldfine co-writing. Meanwhile Freddie E. Williams II will be doing the cover artwork along with the interiors.  I’m curious to know who will be the colorist along with letterer as well.

To quote the plot of this crossover. ” In his eternal desire to destroy the mighty ThunderCats, the evil Mumm-Ra quests for a weapon that can rival the legendary Sword of Omens: He-Man’s Sword of Power! But his dimension-spanning scheme launches a cataclysmic crisis that will, for the first time ever, unite Lion-O, Cheetara, Tygra, Panthro, WilyKit and WilyKat with He-Man, Battlecat, Teela, Man-At-Arms and the rest of the Masters of the Universe.”

I have to say that I’m excited. I enjoy the worlds of both He-Man and ThunderCats so this is right up my alley. With the success of Batman/TMNT I’m not surprised that this is happening. I didn’t know that DC Comics has the ThunderCats license. Does this mean we could possibly see a ThunderCats ongoing? I have no clue but I’m interested in seeing where it goes.
