Toei has recently announced that the cast of Dekaranger will be making a reappearance in two special crossover films with the team of Space Sheriff Gavan. Both films will be released in 2017 under the new “Space Squad” banner.
The first of the two films is named Space Sheriff Gavan vs Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger. The film will feature the return of Yuma Ishigaki who appeared in Space Sheriff Gavan : The Movie in 2012 and the Space Sheriff Next Generation films in 2015. The film will feature the two teams joining forces to fight a major space crime organization.
The female cast of Tokusou Sentai Dekranger will appear in the prologue film titled “, Girls in Trouble : Space Squad Episode Zero.” It has also been confirmed that Mayu Kawamoto and Suzuka Morita who also appeared in the Next Generation films as well as Gavan : The Movie will be returning to reprise their roles in this film.
The V-cinema will be released on DVD and Blu-ray next summer and will coincide with a theater show. The film will be written by Naruhisa Arakawa and directed by Koichi Sakamoto.
