In efforts to promote the release of Godzilla Resurgence (Shin Gojira), Toho Studios has commissioned a reproduction of a full-scale Godzilla footprint as an attraction at the Ishikari Beach Sand Park 2016 held at Asobichi Ishikari beach in Ishikari City, Hokkaido. The footprint’s exact measurements for the largest Godzilla in existence are 27.9 meters (91.5 feet) in length and 22 meters (77.2 feet) in width. The “Godzilla Footprint Experience” is schedule to will run from June 18 (today) to July 10, 2016, whereas Godzilla Resurgence directed by Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi is set to release in Japanese theaters on July 29, 2016.
