Viz Media Reveals Terraformars English Dub Cast

Yesterday at Anime Expo, Viz Media announced the English dub staff, and cast for the TerraFormars anime. TerraFormars is an adaptation of Yū Sasuga’s and Kenichi Tachibana’s manga series which premiered in September 2014. The series follows an expedition team’s battle on Mars with mutated cockroaches, seeking to exterminate humans. To combat these mutant cockroaches that were once used for the terraforming process of the planet, the expedition team undergo “Bugs Procedure,” experimental surgery designed to make them superhuman. Now, this announcement came during Viz’s own panel. In addition, voice actors Erica Lindbeck, and Christopher Niosi were in attendance.

Viz Media’s Summary:

In TerraFormars, after humanity’s first manned mission to the Red Planet was lost a second expedition arrives. The explorers prepare to exterminate the cockroaches that were used to transform the Martian environment, but are shocked to discover that the insects have mutated into giant, aggressive humanoids with one overriding goal – exterminate the humans! However, this crew of explorers has each undergone the “Bugs Procedure,” terrifying experimental surgery designed to make them more than human…

 

Now, the TerraFormars anime consists of 13-episodes which adapts the Annex Arc from the manga. The series premiered in September 2014, and was simulcasted on Crunchyroll services. The series also has a 13-episode sequel, TerraFormars Revenge, which made its premiere last April. Since then Viz Media, began seemingly the original series, alongside TerraFormars Revenge during that time. Furthermore, Viz Media is distributing the manga in North America, and has published up to 17 volumes as of this March.
