Variety has reported that Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Falcon (Anthony Mackie) will be receiving a series on Disney’s streaming service. The series follows the current trend of the shows that are stated to to be released on Disney’s streaming service that are based on characters within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, such as the previously reported series based on Loki and Scarlet Witch. Malcolm Spellman is said to be the main writer for the series.
Bucky Barnes aka the Winter Soldier, made his debut in the first Captain America film, however would later held the mantle of the Winter Soldier in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Sam Wilson aka Falcon also made his debut in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and both characters also made an appearance in various other films including Avengers: Infinity War.
