Good Smile Company Launches Investment Firm

Recently, the Japanese figure and toy manufacturer Good Smile Company announced that the company established a new investment firm during November; the investment firm, Good Smile Partners, will invest in contents, creators, artists and research to raise the value of the company. In addition, the intent of the firm is to have new projects aiming towards “the future of entertainment.” Furthermore, Good Smile Company board member Gentarō Iwasa is in charge of firm as the representative director.

 

Good Smile Company is best known internationally for the production of its Figma and Nendoroid figures. The company expanded into China in 2011 establishing the Good Smile Shanghai subsidiary, and currently opened an additional China subsidiary, Good Smile Arts Shanghai; the goal of Good Smile Arts Shanghai is develop and produce original products for China. Whereas here in North America, Good Smile Company established the Ultra Tokyo Connection subsidiary located in Los Angeles, California back in 2014.
