The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Ken Watanabe is joining the cast of the live-action Detective Pikachu film. For those who are unaware, Ken Watanabe, has starred in various films such as The Last Samurai, Ashita no Kioku/Memories of Tomorrow, and as Dr. Serizawa in the recent Godzilla film by Legendary Pictures. Ken Watanabe will be playing a new character that be featured in the film named Detective Yoshida.
Detective Pikachu will premiere on May 10, 2019.
