Lego Star Wars – The Skywalker Saga Announced

Microsoft’s E3 2019’s presentation is underway and during their presentation they revealed that a new Lego game based on the Star Wars franchise is being developed. The game will be known as Lego Star Wars – The Skywalker Saga and will focus all 9 films in the franchise. The trailer features a look at several of the characters throughout the franchise as well as some comical recreations of some of the more iconic scenes from the films. The game will be released expectantly on all major platforms in 2020.  No other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates.

It is pretty understandable that there wasn’t a Lego game based on Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi since it would seem a bit lame seeing as only two numbered films existed at the time. While it would have been easy to produce a game based on that film alongside Rogue One: A Star Wars Story as a part of the game it is nice to see that they held back until all 9 films continued their run. That being said while the film is stated to be specifically based on the mainline Star Wars films, I wouldn’t be surprised if they add Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Solo: A Star Wars Story, or any of the other Star Wars productions being added to game via DLC.
