It was recently revealed in the recent issue of the Shonen Jump magazine has revealed some new details about the live-action film adaptation of Tite Kubo’s Bleach manga series. First, it has been revealed that Hana Sugisaki will be portraying Rukia Kuchiki in the film. The other major detail that the magazine revealed was the release date for the film. The film is set to premiere in Japanese theaters on July 20.
For those who are unaware the live-action film adaption of Bleach franchise is directed by Shinsuke Sato. The main protagonist, Ichigo Kurosaki, will be portrayed by Sota Fukushi. Warner Brothers Japan posted a teaser trailer of Sota Fukushi in costume earlier last July.
The film will focus on the “Substitute Shinigamai Arc,” which was the first arc of the original manga series.
No other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates.
