Pokémon the Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution Trailer #2 Streamed

The official Japanese Pokémon Youtube channel has updated with a new trailer for Pokémon the Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution. For those who are not aware, the film is a remake of Pokémon: The First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back or simply Pokémon: The First Movie as it is known internationally. The film is also the 22nd overall film in the Pokémon franchise.

The latest trailer features a look at some of the various scenes in the film, which should look familiar to those who watched the original film. Some of the highlights include a look at the human cast of the film as well as some of the “clone” scenes that were also featured in the original film.

I personally feel that this remake looks pretty rough so far especially when it comes to the human designs. The Pokémon look alright enough, although it all falls apart when it comes to the human characters. I think the film needs quite a bit of polish and it really does not look that good overall in its current state. While the film has not gotten an international release yet, I am not sure how well the film is going to turn out just by looking at this new trailer. Hopefully it will be much better by the time the film releases.

Pokémon the Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution will be released in Japanese theaters on July 12, 2019.
