The official Star Wars website has updated with an announcement that a new series of shorts that will be released on the official Star Wars Kids website and Youtube channel. The shorts will be called “Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures,” and will feature events of the original Star Wars films in animated form. The first six shorts will be released on the website and Youtube channel on November 30 with additional shorts being released this December. More shorts will be released regularly throughout 2019.
The official Star Wars website provided an official visual for Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures.
A trailer for the shorts was also posted to the official Star Wars Kids channel.
James Waugh, vice president of Lucasfilm had this to say about the project.
“With Galaxy of Adventures, we wanted to craft something that allowed parents to help their kids take their first step into a much larger world whether they were ready to show their kids the films or wanted to find new ways to explore the content,” James Waugh, Lucasfilm’s vice president for franchise content and strategy, tells StarWars.com.
