Star Wars: Visions Trailer #2 Streamed

The official Star Wars Youtube channel has updated with a new trailer for Star Wars: Visions in both Japanese English Subtitled and English Dub variations. For those who are not aware, the series is an anthology of animated short films created by Japanese anime creators. The series was first unveiled during the 2020 Disney Investor’s Day live-stream. According to the details revealed on that day the series will consist of 12 episodes, however it has been confirmed since that the series will now consist of nine episodes instead of the proposed 12. The latest trailer features a deeper look at the different “stories” from the various Japanese creators. Star Wars: Visions will premiere on Disney+ on September 22.

After seeing the new trailer I can easily say these productions look gorgeous. I think it is amazing to see how Japanese creators have been brought together to create unique stories that do not have to be stuck within the constraints of the canon. Official 2D productions for Star Wars are rare enough and it is great to see the medium return to a galaxy far far away once more.
