Sunrise to Begin Streaming All 8 Brave Series, Commemorating the 30th Anniversary!

Today, Sunrise announced that in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Braves Series, they will begin streaming the 8 series on their official YouTube channel. For those unawares the 8 Brave Series began in 1990 aired till 1997, it was a joint ‘Super Robot’ anime project between Sunrise and Takara Tomy, during Transformers inactivity in Japan. The series line-up consists of Brave Exkaiser (1990), The Brave Fighter of Sun Fighbird (1991), The Brave Fighter of Legend Da-Garn (1992), The Brave Express Might Gaine (1993), Brave Police J-Decker (1994), The Brave of Gold Goldran (1995), Brave Command Dagwon (1996), and finally the most renowned series, The King of Braves GaoGaiGar (1997).

 

Sunrise intends to upload each series one by one, and through batches of episodes. Brave Exkaiser will begin streaming this coming Monday, February 3 with episodes 1 through 5. New batches of episodes will be upload every following Monday, and all episodes are expected be on the official Sunrise YouTube Channel by April 6, 2020. In addition, episodes 6 through 48 will be available on the channel until May 31, 2020. Whereas, Sunrise has not decide on end-time for the first five episodes’ distribution. Brave Exkaiser Summary:

The Space Police and Exkaiser confront the Geisters to protect all lives throughout space!

On a present-day Earth, a group of space police led by Exkaiser arrive in secrecy, while in pursuit of evil space pirates called the Geisters. The Geisters are lead by the tyrannosaurus robot, Dino Geist, whose goal is to obtain energy-based resources and treasured artifacts. Now, upon arriving on Earth, Exkaiser and his team, connect their spirits to vehicles throughout Japan, so they can obtain physical form to combat the Geisters. However, their secret war is nearly revealed when Kota Hoshikawa, witnesses Exkaiser battle a Geister Robo at a Dinosaur Exhibit. As a result, Kota rewarded and recruited to join the Kaisers, to assist them in their pursuit of capturing the Geisters and saving the Earth!

Now, Sunrise did not release the rest of the schedule for the remaining Brave Series. However, we can assume Sunrise will either continue the Monday uploads, or update the schedule with each series. Furthermore, we are unaware if the episodes will be made available outside of Japan, and include various language subtitles like previous Sunrise uploads. Nevertheless, if the uploads are region-locked, maybe fan awareness and outcry will prompt Sunrise to change their decision.
