New Akira Anime Project & 4K Akira Film Remaster Announced

Yesterday, Katsuhiro Otomo announced at Anime Expo 2019 that a new anime project based on his original Akira manga is in the works. The series is stated to integrate the entirety of the manga’s story. Additionally a 4K remaster of the 1988 film will be released in Japan in April 24, 2020. The 4K remaster will also be released in the United States. Viz Media to Release Transformers: The Manga Volume 1 in North America

Viz Media announced at Anime Expo 2019 that they will be releasing Transformers: The Manga Volume 1. For those who are not aware, the first volume will consist all eight issues of Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers, which was a manga series based on the Transformers brand that was printed in the TV Magazine. The two part prologue first launched in the magazine in 1985 and the following eight issues released in 1986. The manga took place after the second season of The Transformers aka Transformers Generation One and was mostly setup to promote the Scramble City toyline.
