Paramount & Hasbro to Produce Two Transformers Movies: Bumblebee 2 & Beast Wars

Yesterday, Variety reported that Paramount Pictures is progress with their revamp of Hasbro’s live-action Transformers films series, following the success of Bumblebee. The intent of their new plan is to produce multiple films with branching storylines within the franchise. Also, Variety exclaimed that two scripts are simultaneously in active development: one written by Joby Harold and the other by James Vanderbilt. NYCC 2019: Transformers: Cyberverse Maccadam Build-a-Figure Wave

Hasbro has recently released official images of the new Transformers: Cyberverse deluxe figures that will be released in early 2020. Unlike the previous figures that were released for the series, this new line of figures are designed more in a Transformers Generations style while still maintaining the animated series aesthetics. Mazinger Z & Transformers Crossover Manga Announced

Tokyo Book Store Village Books has announced that a Mazinger Z and Transformers crossover manga will be released in Japan titled, “Mazinger Z X Transformers.” The manga will be written by Yuujin Ishikawa that will feature a summary by Naoto Tsushima. The manga is said to be illustrated similar to American style comics in where multiple artists will working on project instead of a single artist. The manga will illustrated by Yuu Kinutani, Hayato Sakamoto, Eiji Yoshioka, Kazumi Hoshi, Naoyuki Fujisawa, and Naoto Tsushima. Go Nagai will be working as the cover illustrator for the manga. For those who haven’t been following the news, IGN has reported official details about the upcoming Transformers Generation One reissues. The figures will be exclusive to Walmart stores in the US and some of the offerings include Starscream,  Hot Rod, some of the Minibots, and even the mighty Devastator.  Some of the Minibots that will be reissued include Bumblebee and Outback. While pricing details for most of the figures have not been confirmed at this time.
