Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake Announced

Earlier this morning, Square Enix hosted a Dragon Quest 35th Anniversary stream, which featured some new Dragon Quest games that will be released. Among the reveals was the announcement that Dragon Quest III will be receiving a 2D-3D remake. As the trailer shows the game seems to be following the artstyle as seen in Octopath Traveler. Nintendo recently held their E3 2019 Nintendo Direct, which featured new details for some upcoming Nintendo Switch games. First, the Direct revealed the second DLC fighter in the Smash Bros Ultimate Fighters Pass. The second fighter will be the “Hero” from the Dragon Quest series. While they specifically showed Luminary from Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, they also revealed that several other main protagonists will also be playable as alt skins.
