The official website for the SSSS.Gridman Universe film has updated with casting and staff details for the film. Several previous cast members from both SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon will be returning for the film. For those who are not aware, the film is a crossover film between the two series. The film was first announced during the Tsuburaya Convention in 2021. SSSS.Gridman is an anime reboot adaptation of the Gridman the Hyper Agent tokusatsu series. GRIDMAN x DYNAZENON Anime Fillm Announced

Earlier this morning, Tsuburaya held their TsubuCon2021 event, which featured a look at some upcoming productions. Among the announcements was a brand new theatrical film currently titled, GRIDMAN x DYNAZENON,” which is based in the Gridman universe. Tsuburaya also provided a teaser trailer for the project.   The film will be directed by Akira Amemiya, who previously worked as the director for SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon. Yesterday, Mill Creek Entertainment the distributor of the Ultra Series, officially announced the release for Gridman the Complete Series set. Now, this set was rumored to be in production since Mill Creek Entertainment acquired the Ultra Series library in 2019. In addition, its release was recently leaked through a listing found on the online retailer, Deep Discount. Due to the cancellation of the recent SSSS.Gridman live event, fans of the series received a special livestream. The livestream featured Trigger staff and series cast members, as well as a live-action appearance by Alexis Kerib. Recently during the Tsuburaya Convention, Ponyon Canyon announced that Trigger and Tsuburaya Productions are continuing with the Gridman anime series. The new project within the “Gridman Universe” is currently titled SSSS.Dynazenon. The name is an obvious reference to the original tokusatsu series’ ally mecha, God Zenon and Dyna Dragon.
