Tsuburaya Productions Introduces Award in Honor of Tetsuo Kinjo

Yesterday, Tsuburaya Productions announced and introduced a new award in honor of playwright/ screenwriter, Tetsuo Kinjo, with the motto of “Ultra wo Coero” (“To Go Beyond Ultra”). For those who may not know the man or company, Tetsuo Kinjo was primarily the spearhead in writing Ultra Q, Ultraman, and UltraSeven, the series which launched the franchise. Funimation Licenses Rurouni Kenshin Live-Action Films in North America

Funimation has recently announced that they will be releasing all three live-action Rurouni Kenshin films in North America. This license includes the home video release, theatrical release, video on demand, and also broadcast distribution of of the films.   The theatrical release of the films will maintain the original Japanese audio but will feature English subtitles. Funimation will have limited theatrical release screenings which include: Rurouni Kenshin: Origins – August 9-10 Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno –September 12-14 Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends – October 3-5   Source: ANN
