The Hollywood Reporter has reported that and eight episode series based on the character Peacemaker has been announced for HBO Max. As the name suggests the series will revolve around Peacemaker (John Cena) and will take place before the upcoming film. According to the Hollywood Reporter, production on the series is set to start in early 2021 just before James Gunn will be working on the third Guardians of the Galaxy film. The Wrap has reported that Henry Gayden will be returning to write the screenplay for the sequel for DC’s Shazam. It has also been reported that David F. Sandberg and Peter Safran will also be returning for the sequel. Variety has reported that Asher Angel will be portraying Billy Batson in DC’s Shazam. For those unaware, Billy Batson is the alter ego of Shazam.
