Female-Led Spinoff “Arrow” Spinoff Series in Production

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that a new spinoff series based on several key female characters featured on Arrow is currently in production. The series is set to feature Mia Smoak/Green Arrow (Kathernine McNamara), Laurel Lance (Kattie Cassidy), and Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy). The series will first start as a “backdoor pilot” in the final season of Arrow, which will premiere on October 15. Beth Schwartz, Marc Guggenheim, Jill Blankenship and Oscar Balderrama will be working as the co-writers as well as the executive producers of the episode. Deathstroke’ Animated Series Announced for CW Seed

Deadline has reported that an animated series based on Deathstroke is currently in the works for CW Seed. The series was announced during a CW upfront presentation by CW Network president, Mark Pedowitz. In the comics Slade Joseph Wilson aka Deathstroke is a well known assassin. He first debuted in The New Teen Titans #2, which was released in December 1980. The CW has recently released a teaser trailer for the upcoming Batwoman series. For those who are not aware, Ruby Rose first portrayed Kate Kane aka Batwoman in the Elseworlds crossover.
