Deadline has reported that Will Poulter will be portraying Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. For those who are not aware, the character was hinted to make his way into the MCU during the post credits scene of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. Also according to Deadline, production for the film will start this November.
In the comics, Adam Warlock was created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Roy Thomas. The character first debuted in comics under the alias “Him” in Fantastic Four #66, which was released in June 1967. “Him” was created by a group of researchers known as the Enclave. After he was defeated by Thor who stopped him from abducting Lady Sif and would eventually be reborn as “Warlock.” The character debuted as “Warlock” in Marvel Premiere #1, which was released in April 1972.
No other details about the project are available at this time so stay tuned for updates. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is currently set to premiere on May 5, 2023.
