Marvel’s Thrawn #1 Preview

The official Star Wars website has updated with an official preview for the first issue of Marvel’s Thrawn.  The comic will be a six issue series that will adapt Timonthy Zahn’s novel of the same name.  The first issue of Marvel’s Thrawn will be released on February 7, 2018 and will be written by Jody Houser with illustrations by Luke Ross. Marvel’s Thrawn will look deeper into Thrawn’s backstory before his time as the Grand Admiral and will also feature never before revealed events.   Source: Star Wars

IDW Sonic the Hedgehog Comic Series Release Date Announced

Within the mix of the NYCC 2017 news, IDW Publishing announced the the release details for the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog comic series. For those who are unaware the original main Sonic the Hedgehog comics series that was published Archie Comics finished it’s run on July 19 this year.  The series ran from November 22, 1992 – July 19, 2017 so it did have a long run. The new comics will be published by IDW Publishing and the first issue is set to release in April 2018, with the return of long time comic writer, Ian Flynn, as the head writer.…

The official Star Wars website has updated with an announcement that a new comic one-shot will be released by Marvel Comics.  The comic titled, ” Star Wars: The Last Jedi – Storms of Crait,” is written by Ben Acker & Ben Blacker with illustrations by Mike Mayhew.  The comic will feature events on the planet Crait, which will be featured in Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi, during the events of the Galactic Civil War.  Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa journey to the salt covered planet as they search for a new rebel base. IDW has announced that a brand new comic series based on Samurai Jack will be released in the near future. It has recently been announced that acclaimed children’s horror book series writer, R.L Stine, will be working for Marvel as a writer for a brand new Man-Thing comic series.  The new series will be taking inspiration from “The Tales from the Crypt” comic series that started its run from the 1950s.
